核心網格-trim）等功能進行了拓展，且在並行計算(HPC)上取得巨大改進；不僅求解器

面，比上一版本v1成功實現了在64位LINUX機器上計算速度提高20%的目標。在計算過程

Surface Cleaning and Meshing
Importing CAD models is not the end of the story. CAD data often
includes geometry definitions that are quite adequate for CAD
systems, but require fixing and/or defeaturing before meshing.
Surface preparation is therefore included in the STAR-CD package
via modules which allow defeaturing of unnecessary geometric
details and automatically close small surface gaps and joining
surfaces. This eventually creates a closed envelope as required
by surface and volume meshing.
Surface Wrapping
This unique meshing feature available in STAR-CD was initially
developed to enable complex and large CAD models to be quickly
and automatically shrink-wrapped through a fully automatic
process to close holes, join surfaces and remove interior and
overlapping surfaces. This situation typically applies to
external aerodynamics, underhood, passenger compartments,
or more generally to thermal management applications (e.g.
airplanes engine nacelle, etc.) where the CAD models are large
and may be produced by different CAD systems. The main challenge
is overall meshing time. Our wrapping solution for the surface
touched by the fluid, produces a completely closed surface mesh
of triangles and/or quadrangles ready for volume meshing.
STAR-CD provides one of the most effective numerical methodologies
available in an industrial CFD code with the high level of accuracy
needed for complex unstructured meshes.This is delivered with the
speed, efficiency and robustness demanded by engineering design and
development cycles.
STAR-CD uses state-of-the-art, proprietary numerical schemes to
achieve the highest levels of accuracy in both steady and transient
simulations, making STAR-CD one of the least sensitive codes to
mesh type and quality, including distorted tetrahedral meshes.
Remarkably, this has been achieved without sacrificing efficiency
or robustness. So, whatever the choice of mesh or engineering
application, STAR-CD will provide the best solution in the
shortest time.
Alternative solvers are available within the pro-STAR environment,
including a parallelized algebraic multigrid option, a version
optimized for high-speed compressible flows, and STAR-CDs
continuum mechanics solver, "Comet" which offers unique free-surface,
multiphase and multiphysics capabilities.
STAR-CDs flexibility in accepting almost any mesh structure and/or
cell shape makes it ideal for adaptive meshing. GUI-based tools
provide an automated environment to adapt your mesh, based not only
on solution variables but, uniquely, on actual numerical errors.
This allows optimization of models, with refinement of cells in
areas where they are most needed.

《走遍美國》是繼《跟我學》之後影響最大的一個英語教學節目。
我有幸在國外看到該節目的播放原片。可以毫不誇張的說：這是一批富有英語教學
經驗的專家的精心之作。
節目著重交際實用，語言項目循序漸進，內容生動有趣，演員的表演也十分精彩。
之後看到教材翻黎F課文和練習，更使我深信這是一套質量上乘的英語教材。最近
我看到《走遍美國》白金版，仔細研究了書中提供的各種練習，又有一些新的感受
。我以為這套教材不僅可供英語自學者使用，也完全可以用作在校學生的基礎英語
教材或口語教材。
初學英語的人往往有一種誤解，以為只要把課文背熟，就學會了英語。以為學英語
似乎和吟詩一樣〞熟讀唐詩三百首，不會吟詩也會吟〞。因此他們花很多時間去背
誦課文，而不在交際活動方面花精力。這種學習方法是否與中學校中語文的傳統教
法有關，我沒有研究過。
但是我根据自己四十年來英語教學的經驗可以告訴大家，【只是背誦課本是學不好
英語的】。我在以前發表的一篇文章中經說過，要把課文學活，就是要學會【拆卸
、組裝】，瓔學會把課本中的生詞、短語、句型以課文中分離出來，還要學會活用
單個的生詞、短語和句型，用它們表達新的意思。只背熟課文而不會拆卸和組裝，
不可能真正學會用英語交際。
《走遍美國》白金版中提供的大量練習和活動方式就是幫助學生學會拆卸和組裝，
學會把課文中的語言在新的情況下使用，學會用英語交際。為了引起學習者的興趣

EMERGE is designed to predict reservoir properties using seismic attributes and
well log data. The technique trains on target data at the well locations using
multi-linear and neural network algorithms until an optimum transform is derived.
Cross-validation is used to give confidence in the transform, prior to its
application to the whole seismic volume. Any measured or calculated logs such as
porosity, density or water-saturation, may be predicted and the technique may also
be applied in pure log applications.
GLI3D is designed to pick and interpret first breaks from 2D and 3D seismic data
sets. These are then used to build a near surface geological model, which is
optimized using generalized linear and tomographic inversion algorithms. The optimum
model is then used to calculate refraction statics for subsequent application to the
seismic data in the processing flow, thereby improving the structural accuracy and
eee quality. This program is the defacto standard within the seismic processing
industry for regions with difficult statics problems.
ISMAP is a geostatistical mapping tool designed for comparison and statistical
analysis of mapped data sets. Customary data inputs to the program are a combination
of dense, yet "fuzzy" data such as seismic attribute extraction and sparse, accurate
data such as measured well log data. The concept is that a new map is generated which
honors the sparse measured data, while retaining the spatial continuity of the denser
data set.
PRO4D is a program that integrates all of the key elements required for time lapse
seismic studies. It provides a well log toolkit for fluid replacement modeling and
synthetic seismic generation, together with seismic processing functionality. This
gives interactive display, comparison, calibration and interpretation of 4D seismic
data volumes.
PROMC is a new software package developed through an industry consortium between 2001
and 2003. It provides an integrated framework for the interpretation and modeling of
multi-component seismic data. The software makes the execution of everyday tasks on
multi-component data straightforward through an easy-to-use and intuitive
work environment.
STRATA is a seismic inversion product designed to transform post-stack seismic volumes
to impedance traces for lithology and fluid determinations. Acousitc and elastic
impedance processes are provided, utilizing various inversion methods. All ancillary
data manipulation needs, such as wavelet extraction, log correlation, model building
and seismic processing are included. Popular S-inversion, LMR techniques and
coloured techniques are also available.
